Honestly feeling a bit frustrated right now. I took my 2019 530i to a local garage in Al Quoz because the battery was clearly on its way out, slow cranking in the mornings and the start/stop system stopped working altogether. They fitted a new battery, said it was a direct replacement, and I drove off happy. But within two days, my iDrive started showing all these weird messages about battery discharge and the trunk wouldn't even open properly. I called them and they said to just drive it around to "reset" everything, but it's been a week and nothing has changed. I'm pretty sure they didn't register the new battery to the car's computer, which I've read is critical for BMWs because of the intelligent battery sensor. I don't want to go back to them and waste more time. I think I need to find a proper specialist who has the right diagnostic tools to code and register everything correctly. I've been looking around and it seems like finding a Genuine BMW battery replacement in Industrial Area 12 might be the way to go, but I just want to make sure whoever I take it to knows what they're doing with the software side of things. Has anyone else dealt with this after a battery change?
